An idea that evolved over a couple of years, this pavilion is a product of the client and architect working closely together to develop a program and design for an outdoor living space. The pavilion is constructed on masonry piers and has a timber frame roof. Local vernacular materials such as Savannah Grey brick, oyster shell tabby, and pine timbers were used. Phantom screens were integrated into the perimeter beams and an outdoor kitchen was built for entertaining large numbers of guests. An oversized fireplace can be found at one end of the pavilion and a plunge pool found at the other end. This pavilion is a truly unique design that has a certain je ne sais quoi about it.
